richard thornton sculpture

Commissioned by Morrison Supermarkets to form a landmark for their store and the town square of Cambourne in Cambridgeshire.

The sculpture explores the theme of flight because of the connections of the local area with the RAF and aeroplane production during the Second World War.

Whilst it is not a memorial sculpture as such, the local community have decided to adopt it as a focus for their Remembrance Day ceremonies.

10 metres tall in stainless steel.
